Connection builder revolutionizes the way health coaches and alternative healthcare practitioners run their businesses. With an AI-powered executive assistant, it provides a complete virtual practice and recommends the best business model for sustainable growth. The app streamlines operations, calculates optimal pricing, and simplifies scheduling and client management. Empowering practitioners to scale effortlessly, it enables them to focus on delivering exceptional care while achieving unprecedented success.
-
Health coaches often face challenges setting up their own virtual practices due to the requirement of various software tools that need to “speak to each other”. The use of platforms like Zapier becomes essential for seamless integration, but the setup process can be daunting for a market that considers itself to be "not tech-savvy". Furthermore, a key problem is that each different platform has its own set of updates that happen sporadically, posing a great risk to a smooth running business. If one platform updates, other pieces of the chain often stop working.
-
The goal is to build an app that can provide health coaches and practitioners with a streamlined process and system to achieve two key objectives:
(a) Attract new clients: Enable health coaches to effectively bring in new clients by implementing a clear and efficient approach.
(b) Retain existing clients: Help health coaches establish a robust system to retain their current clients, ensuring long-term engagement and satisfaction.

Phase one of this project generated over $320,000 in new business leads for the client within the first two months after launching.
Phase one’s purpose was proof of concept, whereby the basic functioning of the app and business features were tested by bootstrapping existing platforms together. Phase two (underway) will focus on developing the prediction models and app’s core UX and UI design.

In the project, I had the opportunity to fulfill multiple roles, including UX research, UX design, and marketing supervision.
I delved into understanding the business's current position, identifying key findings, and exploring the target market's desires and concerns. By conducting buyer persona discovery and evaluating existing assets, I gained insights into the ideal clients and optimized website traffic. I also audited business processes, reviewed website conversion, and conducted competitive analysis.
Based on our research, I positioned the future product strategically in the market and developed a growth plan. Throughout the project, my contributions aimed to uncover valuable insights, design user-centric experiences, and drive marketing efforts for long-term success.
The Process
Through the project, I identified two primary user groups: Health Coaches and Alternative/Wellness Practitioners. To gain deeper insights into their experiences, I conducted extensive interviews with representatives from each group.
I created an aggregated empathy map and the findings revealed a common challenge faced by both:
they often experience burnout due to the overwhelming administrative and marketing tasks they need to handle alongside their full-time therapy responsibilities.
